Many small businesses are hesitant to utilize Recruiting firms, as they are often concerned engaging a search firm will be too costly for their hiring budget.  However, what some small businesses do not realize is when hiring managers add up the “hiring process cost” from start to finish, often these numbers can be higher than a Recruiting firms fee would be, and furthermore, the process can take up priceless and valuable time.

Posting positions on various national and international job boards can cost hundreds of dollars, per posting, per month.  If you are searching for local candidates and decide to place a job ad in the classifieds, this will add on an additional charge, with no guarantee that you will have a single individual respond with the qualifications that you are looking for.  Sure, you could place an Ad on a “free” site, but do you really have time to go through the hundreds of responses you will receive from that posting?   Overall, this process is timely and fees can quickly begin to add up.

Another benefit, which makes the utilization of Recruiting firms “worthy” of your business, is that the recruiter you are working with will speak with you multiple times during the interview and hiring process, making certain that they are targeting the qualifications you are looking for in your candidate.  Plus, Recruiting firms offer various hiring options, allowing you to bring an individual on temporarily, temp-hire or direct-hire.  This allows businesses to make sure the individual is a right fit for the company, and of course ensuring that the company is the right fit for the individual.  In addition, many firms, like CR Fletcher Associates, offer various “guarantee” policies with their placements and they stay in contact with you throughout the first few weeks or months of the individuals “hire”, monitoring that everything is transitioning smoothly on both sides.
