New role for a growing social services agency.  The Chief Development Officer will be responsible for leading a team and setting the strategy and vision for all development activities including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, donor and community relations and stewardship. Responsibilities include:
  • Lead all fundraising activities to meet short term and long term goals for the organization
  • Manage and develop the team to set and meet goals and initiatives
  • Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of current and potential donors
  • Provide metric based reports and budgets for the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Work closely with Chief of Marketing on all community engagement, events and special initiatives
  • Build strong relationships in the community and with staff, volunteers and board members
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Minimum seven years in direct fundraising from a nonprofit organization. Social Services focus highly preferred
  • Minimum five years experience leading and managing a Development team
  • Proven success in high level fundraising, especially major gifts, planned giving and capital campaigns.
  • Community and mission driven with the ability to think strategically about the short term and long term needs of the organization
  • Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills

Salary: $100k-$120k DOE
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree
